The Macon County Food Pantry

Hunger knows no season. In Macon County, more than 50% of single parent homes live below the national poverty level. More than 30% of all housholds are in need of food assistance. The Macon County Ministers' Council plans to address these needs with the creation of a centralized, county wide food pantry to be located in Tuskegee, Alabama.

This food pantry will be supported primarily by local churchs, ministries, organizations, and businesses, that will partner with us to provide the funds necessary to purchase food from the regional food bank. It is our goal to make this critical ministry fully operational in 2011.

Meeting Dates:

Meetings are held at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 11:00am.
